Ultimately, the Association wishes to train and foster the talents of members to one day compete in the World Championship Tour (WCT) of surfing professionals.

Proposed Activities by KSA for 2011:

Participation in surfing at the Pacific Games, Noumea to promote support for surfing in Kiribati;

Monitor progress of local surfers and introduce the concept of competition with a longer term objective of holding a national competition by 2012 (“Te Runga”);

Lobbying for Kiribati to host a regional/international surfing competition;
